OTHM is a UK based Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management is designed to offer learners the skills and knowledge in human resource management (HRM) that are aligned with sound strategic decision-making in order to sustain a competitive advantage for organizations. Learners gain enough knowledge by combining theory in human resource management with practice using real-time activities in an integrated method. Learners’ strategic human resource management and leadership abilities, as well as their ability to focus on the needs of implementing an organization’s strategy, will be enhanced by completing this certification. This specialized program is being offered in Dubai, UAE by the Learners University College that aims at building fundamental knowledge and expertise of students in the field of human resource management.

The Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management allows students to advance into or within employment, as well as strive towards advanced standing in a comparable Master’s degree. The course provides students with a complete study of important HRM ideas, strategies, and issues, as well as a critical awareness of the role and functions of various human resource operations in an organization. Job analysis and design, recruiting and selection, evaluation, performance management, occupational health and safety, and HRM’s strategic contribution to organizational success and measuring HRM effectiveness are just a few of the topics covered in this program. Students use communication and discourse that are distinctive of the HRM setting and environment in modern case studies, in addition to collaborative and individual work methods.

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

The qualification is designed to be delivered over 9-12 months for full-time study, but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time and distance learning. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, online through Learners University College

For entry onto the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management qualification, learners must possess:

  • An honours degree in related subject or UK Level 6 Diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification
  • Mature learners with management experience (learners must check with the delivery center regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
  • Learner must be 21 years or older at the beginning of the course
  • English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.

The OTHM Level 7 diplomas on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) are at the same level as master’s degrees. However, they are shorter (120 credits) and learners will have to proceed to the dissertation stage (60 credits) with university to achieve a full masters programme.

All units within this qualification are internally assessed by Learners University College and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Accounting and Finance qualification enables learners to progress into or within employment and/or continue their further study. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible to progress to Master’s top-up programmes at many universities in the UK and overseas with advanced standing.
