OTHM Level 5 Diploma qualifications represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Higher National Diplomas (HND) and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.

The Level 5 units allow learners to specialise and progress in a variety of relevant subject areas and focus on how our understanding of psychology is applied today. The qualification is designed to be delivered over one academic year for full-time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time and distance learning.
The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, online by approved centres only.
The centre conducts internal assessments of each unit for this qualification, and OTHM does an external verification. The credentials are based on the accomplishment of all the predetermined learning outcomes and are criteria referenced.
Learners must present proof that they have satisfied all learning outcomes and complete all assessment criteria requirements in order to receive a “pass” for a unit. The Assessor decides whether or not the Learners successfully met the assessment requirements.
An audit trail should be provided by the assessor to demonstrate the decision-making process used to determine the learners’ overall success.
