OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 4 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Higher National Certificates (HNC) and Year 1 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
The OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Business Management consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.
The OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Business Management’s main goal is to give students a solid base on which to develop a career in a variety of enterprises. It is intended to make sure that every student is “business ready”—a self-assured, independent thinker who has a thorough understanding of business and management and the abilities to change quickly.
The qualification will give students the fundamental information, comprehension, and abilities necessary for them to operate successfully in a business setting. These skills include knowledge of company operations, policies, procedures, and processes. In the fields of academic and research abilities, business and worldwide operations, finance and accounting, business communication, leadership, and teamwork, the modules incorporate both theoretical and practical knowledge.
When this certificate is successfully completed, students will be better prepared to enter the workforce in their preferred industry and help their progression to university.
The certification is flexible in how it is delivered to allow for part-time and distance learning in addition to being designed to be completed over the course of one academic year for full-time study.
Only authorised centres are permitted to provide the degree in person, via lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance learning, and online.
The centre conducts internal assessments of each unit for this qualification, and OTHM does an external verification. The credentials are based on the accomplishment of all the predetermined learning outcomes and are criterion referenced.
Learners must present proof that they have satisfied all learning outcomes and complete all assessment criteria requirements in order to receive a “pass” for a unit. The Assessor decides whether or not the Learners successfully met the assessment requirements.
An audit trail should be provided by the assessor to demonstrate the decision-making process used to determine the learners’ overall success.
