The OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business qualification consists of 6 mandatory units, 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and the recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification is a minimum of 600 hours.
The OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business qualification’s main goal is to give students an understanding of accounting and business in the broader business context as well as the practical, industry-specific skills they need to effectively manage business finances, budgets, and cash flow and to play a significant role in the expansion of their companies.
In the Level 4 modules, academic and research skills, the business and economic environment, mathematical techniques, financial accounting, management accounting, and leading and managing teams are all combined with theoretical and practical knowledge.
In order to advance to further study or work, learners who successfully complete this certification will be given the specialised knowledge and technical terminology needed to enhance their accounting, business, and management abilities.
The qualification is flexible in how it is given to allow for part-time and remote learning in addition to being designed to be taught across two academic years for full-time study. Only authorised centres are permitted to provide the degree in person, via lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance learning, and online.
The centre conducts internal assessments of each unit for this qualification, and OTHM does an external verification. The credentials are based on the accomplishment of all the predetermined learning outcomes and are criteria referenced.
Learners must present proof that they have satisfied all learning outcomes and complete all assessment criteria requirements in order to receive a “pass” for a unit. The Assessor decides whether or not the Learners successfully met the assessment requirements.
An audit trail should be provided by the assessor to demonstrate the decision-making process used to determine the learners’ overall success.
