Students explore key competencies relevant to hospitality-specific management roles: marketing-management issues, theories on customer, competitor, and core organizational capabilities; advanced managerial perspectives in guest services (including service operations management and strategies for competitive excellence); and operational excellence in event and meeting planning.
It explores the provision and management of guest service in the hospitality industry from an advanced managerial perspective. It covers service operations management from an integrated viewpoint with a focus on the overarching goal of competitive excellence. It offers an advanced examination of services marketing and management within the context of the hospitality industry. It also Discusses marketing-management issues specific to hospitality and covers theories related to customer, competitor and core organizational capabilities.
Hotel Manager
As a hotel manager, they are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a hotel like managing the needs of the clients, planning, marketing and coordinating with the staff, ensuring the services are rendered with efficiency
Event Manager
An event manager plans and coordinates various events, such as weddings, conferences, and other special occasions. They would be responsible for managing all aspects of the event, including budgeting, logistics, and staffing.
Tourism Consultant
As a tourism consultant, they would work with tourism organizations and businesses to help them improve their operations and attract more visitors. They would provide advice and guidance on topics such as marketing, customer service, and product development.
Restaurant Manager
As a restaurant manager, they would be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a restaurant, including staffing, menu development, and customer service.
Resort Manager
A resort manager oversees the operations of a resort, which can include accommodation, dining, and leisure facilities. They would need to have excellent communication and organizational skills to manage staff and ensure that guests have a pleasant stay.
Sales and Marketing Manager
